Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington recognises the recent weather event has caused significant disruption and hardship for many across the electorate, with widespread damage and road impacts still being assessed.
As the region looks to repair and rebuild it is important that all affected primary producers and businesses are encouraged to complete the Disaster Impact Survey to help build a clear picture of the extent of the damage.
“My thoughts are with everyone who has been affected, and I know the recovery process can feel overwhelming,” Deb said.
“I encourage everyone impacted to complete the survey as soon as possible after these events.”
“Early information helps us activate disaster recovery assistance if needed and ensures support reaches the communities that need it most.”
Primary Producers can complete the Disaster Impact Survey here: https://www.business.qld.gov.au/industries/farms-fishing-forestry/agriculture/disaster/impact-survey
If your business has been affected, please also complete the Business Impact Survey. The Queensland Government is ready to support small and family businesses experiencing the effects of a disaster event, and your response helps identify where assistance may be required https://nam.dcv.ms/wXcpMSlQMv
When you complete these surveys, you are helping assess how the disaster has affected your property or business and whether disaster recovery assistance needs to be activated.
Importantly, completing a survey is not an application for assistance.
