Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington has welcomed the opening of the next round of the Crisafulli Government’s Play On! Sports Vouchers on 27 July, delivering cost-of-living relief for local families and helping more children get involved in grassroots sport.

Across the Nanango electorate, 1,735 children have already benefited from Play On! Vouchers, helping families cover sporting registration costs while supporting local clubs and volunteers.

Mrs Frecklington said the program was making a real difference for families across the region.

“This is about supporting families, strengthening grassroots sport and making sure more children have the opportunity to get active and be part of their local sporting community,” Deb said.

“We know the cost of living is putting pressure on household budgets, and sporting registration fees can be a significant expense for many families.”

“That’s why the Crisafulli Government is delivering practical support through Play On! Vouchers, helping parents keep their children involved in the sports they love while also backing local clubs.”

There are dedicated regional allocations within the program to ensure children outside South East Queensland are not disadvantaged, and a guarantee that every child with a disability who applies for a Play On! Voucher will receive one.

Every Queensland child aged 5 to 17 years is eligible for one $200 Play On! Voucher each financial year, which can be used towards sports registration fees.

Applications for the next round of Play On! Vouchers open on 27 July 2026.
