LNP’s cool plan for kids as summer comes early

8th October 2019

The first day of term four is set to be a scorcher for thousands of Queensland kids, as temperatures soar towards 40 degrees today.

LNP Leader Deb Frecklington said it’s totally unfair for school kids to learn in classrooms that don’t have air-conditioning.

“I am so passionate about this signature policy the LNP is taking to the October 2020 election,” Ms Frecklington said.

“Only the LNP is committed to air-condition every state school classroom in Queensland.

“This will improve the working environment for staff and students.

“It is unfair for our kids to slug out it in hotboxes while all other government buildings have the luxury of air conditioning.

“School P&C’s are taking years to fundraise for air-conditioning and I believe they need a state government who will support them.

“This is one part of my plan to improve the education needs of our kids.

“The LNP will also declutter the curriculum and get back to basics.

“Under the Palaszczuk Labor Government, our NAPLAN results have gone backwards.

“Labor isn’t working and Annastacia Palaszczuk doesn’t want to improve the education system because her priorities are all wrong.”
