LNP Leader Deb Frecklington said Labor continued to hand in the LNP’s homework on real-time fuel price monitoring.
“Real-time fuel price monitoring was the first policy my Shadow Cabinet endorsed because we understand motorists are doing it tough,” Ms Frecklington said.
“I care about the pain motorists are experiencing at the pump, which is why I announced the LNP would introduce real-time fuel price monitoring more than 10 months ago.
“It took Labor four months to get on board with real-time fuel price monitoring and Queenslanders are still waiting to get a trial of the real-time price monitoring.
“It is clear Annastacia Palaszczuk is out of touch with everyday Queenslanders.”
LNP Shadow Innovation Minister Michael Hart said Queensland needs real-time fuel price monitoring now.
“The ACCC has said fuel monitoring would likely put downward pressure on prices, by increasing transparency and competition,” Mr Hart said.
“The NRMA said it would save motorists hundreds of dollars a year based on the experience in NSW.
“It’s very disappointing that Labor is putting fuel companies ahead of drivers.
“Annastacia Palaszczuk needs to stop dithering and bring in real-time fuel price monitoring.”
