Deb’s plan to bust South East Queensland congestion crisis

18th April 2019

Holiday time in Queensland only means one thing.

A nightmare run on our roads.

LNP Deputy Leader Tim Mander said the Palaszczuk Labor Government’s failure to plan or invest in transport and infrastructure is going to come back to bite Queenslanders this long weekend.

“Make no mistake, when the M1 resembles a car park it’s all thanks to Annastacia Palaszczuk,” Mr. Mander said.

“The Easter long weekend should be a time of rest and relaxation not traffic jams, delays and reduced services.

“Annastacia Palaszczuk’s priorities are all wrong – she has neglected our roads and has broken our train system.

“Only Deb Frecklington and the LNP have a plan to invest in roads and rail to bust congestion and get the South East moving again.

“We will bust congestion by fixing the M1, building a second M1 and six-lane the Bruce Highway from Caboolture to Caloundra.

“The train network is also a significant priority.

“We will end Labor’s rail fail, restore confidence in the grid and duplicate the Sunshine Coast rail line from Beerburrum to Nambour.

“Annastacia Palaszczuk is the ultimate road block.

“She has no vision, no plan and has become so out of touch with the needs of growing region.

“I urge all Queenslanders to drive safely, remain calm and be patient, as we all try to grapple with Labor’s congestion crisis this long weekend.”
