Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington congratulates Queensland Country Women’s Association, Kilkivan Branch on their successful application from Round 125 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF), acknowledging the vital contribution our local community groups make across the region.

The GCBF remains Queensland’s largest one-off community grants program, providing essential funding to not-for-profit organisations so they can upgrade facilities, purchase equipment, deliver programs and strengthen local services.

The Kilkivan QCWA received $5,954.55 to install air-conditioning in their hall, improving comfort and safety for all who use the facility.

“Our community groups give so much of their time, energy and heart to support their communities and these grants go a long way toward helping them continue the incredible work they do,” Deb said.

“This project will make a meaningful difference to everyone who uses the hall, and I look forward to seeing this project come to life and the positive impact it will have on our community.”

The Gambling Community Benefit Fund continues to play an important role in supporting grassroots organisations, helping them grow, improve and keep delivering for the people of the South Burnett.

Community groups are encouraged to keep an eye out for the announcements regarding the commencement of Round 127.
