Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington congratulates the successful applicants from Round 125 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF), acknowledging the vital contribution our local community groups make across the Somerset.
The GCBF remains Queensland’s largest one‑off community grants program, providing essential funding to not‑for‑profit organisations so they can upgrade facilities, purchase equipment, deliver programs and strengthen local services.
Deb is pleased to congratulate the following Somerset organisations on their successful applications:
- TOOGOOLAWAH BOWLS CLUB – repainting the interior $13,500.00
- MOUNT KILCOY STATE SCHOOL P&C – Purchase electronic whiteboards $20,618.00
- JIMNA SPORTING CLUB – replacing roof and install a solar battery system $34,404.00
“Our community groups give so much of their time, energy and heart to support the Somerset region. These grants go a long way toward helping them continue the incredible work they do,” Deb said.
“These projects will make a meaningful difference across the region, and I look forward to seeing these projects come to life and the positive impact they will have on our community.”
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund continues to play an important role in supporting grassroots organisations, helping them grow, improve and keep delivering for the people of the Somerset.
Community groups are encouraged to keep an eye out for announcements regarding the commencement of Round 127.
