Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington has announced the latest community groups to benefit from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF), with local organisations to share in $446,000.00 worth of grants.

The latest round (Round 123) delivers a welcome boost to groups across the Nanango electorate with funding helping to upgrade local facilities, support grassroots sporting clubs and provide essential services.

Deb said the grants would benefit community groups that have faced challenges when budgets have been stretched by cost-of-living increases.

“Every dollar invested by the Crisafulli Government through the GCBF goes directly to the heart of our communities, and I’m proud to be able to support our community organisations with this vital funding,” Deb said.

‘These grants allow profits from gambling to be invested back into grass roots services and facilities that benefit people from all walks of life in the local community’ Said Deb

“The next round is closing soon and it’s a Super Round, so if you’re part of a local organisation in need of a major funding boost for facility improvements or substantial equipment purchases – make sure you get your application in before 18 July.”

Local community groups receiving funding this round include:

  • Yarraman & District Community Kindergarten
  • Wooroolin Lions
  • Wondai Hospital Auxiliary
  • Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield
  • Toogoolawah Clay Target
  • QCWA – Wooroolin Branch
