Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the second round of funding under the Secure Communities Partnership Program.
Small and family business owners who have been impacted by crime in the past three years can now apply directly for grants between $5,000 and $20,000 to fund critical safety upgrades such as alarm systems, surveillance, and digital access control systems.
The program is designed to protect small and family businesses from crime and economic losses by supporting the installation of vital safety and security infrastructure. These measures will create safer business precincts and strengthen the operating environment for small and family enterprises across Queensland.
“This program is about giving small and family businesses the tools they need to protect themselves,” Deb said.
.
“We know the impact crime has had on local businesses, and this funding will help restore confidence and safety.”
“We promised to put Small and Family Business First, and this program is delivering on that promise,” said Deb.
The Crisafulli Government is restoring safety in our communities and reversing Labor’s decade-long soft-on-crime approach. Round 2 builds on the success of Round 1, which delivered $9.6 million to councils across Queensland — including South Burnett Regional Council — to implement crime prevention measures in local business precincts.
Small businesses affected by crime are encouraged to apply before applications close on 30 January 2026, unless funding is exhausted earlier. More information is available at: https://www.business.qld.gov.au/running-business/support-services/financial/grants/secure-communities
