Deb Frecklington is the State Member for Nanango and Shadow Minister for Energy and the Cost of Living, Shadow Minister for Water and the Construction of Dams and Shadow Minister for Regional Development and Manufacturing.
Deb is a passionate advocate for regional Queensland and makes it a priority to ensure our regional communities get their fair share.
She is country girl born and bred, growing up on a cattle property in south-west Queensland. Regional Queensland remains her home and where her and husband, Jason chose to raise their three daughters.
Deb has a Business degree and Bachelor of Law and was elected to State Parliament in 2012 as the Member for Nanango.
In this time, she has served as the Assistant Minister for Finance, Administration and Regulatory Reform, and Assistant Minister to the Premier with oversight for the 2014 G20 Brisbane Summit, an event commended as the most successful and safe G20 ever held.
She has held the Opposition portfolios of Shadow Agriculture Minister, and Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, State Development, Trade and Investment. She was also the LNP Opposition Leader, serving in this role for three years.
Deb currently serves as the Shadow Minister for Energy and the Cost of Living, Water and the Construction of Dams, Regional Development and Manufacturing. She believes strongly that regional communities offer endless diversity and opportunities and are the growth centre of Queensland.
