Deb Frecklington is the State Member for Nanango and Shadow Minister for Energy and the Cost of Living, Shadow Minister for Water and the Construction of Dams and Shadow Minister for Regional Development and Manufacturing.
Deb is a passionate advocate for regional Queensland and makes it a priority to ensure our regional communities get their fair share.
She is country girl born and bred, growing up on a cattle property in Guluguba, north of Miles in Western Queensland.
Her parents worked the land to make a living, provide opportunities for their children and instil a love of regional Queensland and its people.
Regional Queensland is her home and where her and husband, Jason chose to raise their three daughters.
Deb has a Business degree and Bachelor of Law and was elected to State Parliament in 2012 as the Member for Nanango.
She has served as an Assistant Minister for Finance, and was the first female Shadow Agriculture Minister.
She was also the first female leader of the LNP Opposition, serving in this role for three years.
In 2020, Deb was relected for a fourth term as the Member for Nanango, and is also the Shadow Minister for Energy and the Cost of Living, Shadow Minister for Water and the Construction of Dams and Shadow Minister for Regional Development and Manufacturing.
Deb's priority is to ensure the people of the Nanango Electorate have the best representation possible.
She fights every day to make sure our regional communities get their fair share.
