Nanango Electorate groups achieve funding success

Member for Nanango, Deb Frecklington has congratulated ninetee local groups on their success in the recently announced Round 93 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund grants.

Mrs Frecklington said the community groups will share in nearly $330,000 for projects to improve infrastructure at their facilities, purchase equipment and much more.

“I am proud of my community, especially the hard working volunteer groups who give their time to make our region such a great place to live,” Mrs Frecklington said.

The successful organisations include:

  • ARROW Wildlife Assoc - $4,077 to purchase equipment
  • Blackbutt & District Tourism & Heritage Assoc - $7,500 for a solar system and air-conditioning
  • Cloyna State School - $25,000 to purchase playground equipment
  • Crows Nest & District Pony Club - $33,000 to install a bore and upgrade electricals
  • Kilcoy SS P&C Assoc - $29,700 to install a shed an concrete slab
  • Kingaroy Golf Club - $28,900 to paint the exterior of the Clubhouse
  • Nanango Rugby League Football Club- $21,000 to install a sprinkler system
  • Mt Hallen Rural Fire Brigade - $2,949 to upgrade their facility
  • South Burnett PCYC - $35,000 to install air-conditioning and security system
  • Timbertowns Woodworking Group – $20,987 to purchase woodworking tools
  • Toogoolawah Clay Target Club - $14,500 to construct a shade shelter and purchase equipment
  • Toogoolawah Show Society - $34,747 to upgrade seating
  • Wheatlands SS P&C - $35,000 to construct a shade shelter
  • WildHorse FM - $7,700 to purchase sound proof drapes
  • Wondai Show Society - $34,986 to upgrade the showgrounds
  • Wondai Country Club - $15,797 to install a lift, purchase equipment and conduct First Aid Training
  • Wondai District Cricket Club - $34,000 to upgrade training nets and equipment
  • Wondai Sportsground - $34,100 to purchase mowing equipment
  • Wooroolin Lions Club - $32,784 to install Shed and relocate train station

“I encourage all local groups, however big or small, to consider applying for a Gambling Community Benefit Fund Grant to help achieve their goals.”
