Deb will secure use of DAF Forestry Shed for Yarraman Men’s Shed

14th November 2017

LNP Nanango MP Deb Frecklington says a future LNP Government will secure the use of the Mill Street Forestry Shed for the Yarraman Men’s Shed.

Mrs Frecklington said she is determined to ensure the old DAF Forestry Shed is not demolished.

“Earlier this year I wrote to the Palaszczuk Labor Government calling on them not to demolish this perfectly good piece of infrastructure, and to instead make it available for the members of the Yarraman Men’s Shed,” Mrs Frecklington said.

“It seems crazy that the Government would spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to tear down a perfectly good building, when they could buy much more suitable land elsewhere in Yarraman.

“I’ll be fighting to ensure the old DAF forestry shed in Yarraman is retained and members of this busy and dedicated group can get in there and get started.

“I have been working with the Yarraman Men’s Shed for several months now on this issue, and I am keen to show my support and the support of a future LNP Government for their plans.

“The Shed has laid dormant for so long. It just makes sense to make it available for a community group.”
