I welcome today’s commitment from the Federal Government to fund the Hells Gate Dam.
Any money that means greater water security is great news for North Queenslanders.
It is clear the Queensland Government has refused to listen to the need for water security for our state.
After 7 years the State Government has not built one dam. Not one.
The Federal Government has put forward the money and now the State Government needs to get out of the way and finalise the approvals.
I look forward to seeing shovels hit the ground for this nation building project.
